Don't Forget the Lyrics! (Otherwise family-friendly Channel 5 may seem risqué!)

Did any of you watch the Channel 5 program, "Don't Forget the Lyrics" yesterday 8 pm? I burst to laugh at two occasions. Can't believe how risqué Channel 5 may seem.

First during the contest for the viewers. Featuring the song, "Nothing's Gonna Change My Love for You" by Glenn Medeiros, the audience was asked to choose the line after the starting chorus, "Hold me now". The options are: a) Touch him now, b) Touch me now, and c) Touch you now.

Guess at which option I was laughing like hell. Well done, Channel 5 for suggestively suggesting an option of, uhm, a threesome 'relationship'. Grin.

The second occasion I was really amused is when the contestant--one spirited pregnant Malay lady--having to fill 7 words for Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive".

It took all the strength I had
not to fall apart
kept trying hard to mend
the pieces of my broken heart
and I spent oh so ___ ___
___ ___ ___ ___ ___

The real answer is of course the followings:
It took all the strength I had
not to fall apart
kept trying hard to mend
the pieces of my broken heart
and I spent oh so many nights
just feeling sorry for myself

The contestant, however, did not have the luxury to google the lyrics in the Net. So she ended up using her 'back up singer' assistance who in turn suggested the answers to be:
It took all the strength I had
not to fall apart
kept trying hard to mend
the pieces of my broken heart
and I spent oh so many nights
thinking how you did me

No wonder her Caucasian husband was grinning. I was laughing till my stomach hurt. Oh well. Could never anticipate how sexy the song, "I Will Survive" might be if the lines were indeed like the wrong answer above. (For clueless, check out the 21st definition of 'do' here)
