AWARE catfight, furore...whatever -- any publicity is really a good publicity?

Even The Economist run a story about the AWARE saga. In its article, "Taken unaware", The Economist summarize beautifully the issue (for those who miss out what this AWARE saga is all about, the article makes a good blurb. Heh.).

However their quoting of Alex Au (I don't know who he is, but he apparently has his own Wikipedia entry. Hmm....) who was reported to say "the Christian right will tend to use stealth to achieve its goals, because the discussion of religion is taboo in Singapore" is somewhat detrimental to the article. Stealth is just a strategy. And its use is not limited to a specific religion group. And what it is with it's taboo to have a discussion of religion?! Seriously, dude...

While The Economist for sure has helped to publicize more about the AWARE issue, will it do good for the AWARE itself as the organization? Would we see more members joining in their effort to prevent the similar 'tragedy' of infiltration to recur?
